Dr. Subodh Bhuchar

Dr. Subodh Bhuchar is Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics as well as the American Board of Family Practice. He has been in practice in the Sugar Land area since 1992. He moved here after completing his residency in Pediatrics in New York, NY at North Shore University Hospital, a Cornell University affiliate program and his Family Practice residency in Lubbock, TX at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He is affiliated with all the area hospitals, including Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, Houston Methodist Hospital Sugar Land, Kindred Hospital Sugar Land.

Dr. Bhuchar has served as Chief of Staff and Medical Director of Kindred Hospital Southwest. He has also served as Chief of Staff at Memorial Hermann Fort Bend and is currently the Medical Director of the Physician Development at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land.

An outstanding physician, he has been recognized often with several awards ranging from Chief Resident and Resident Physician of the Year during his family practice residency, Physician of the Year at Memorial Hermann Fort Bend, to Best Physician Communicator at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land.

Dr. Bhuchar believes in sharing his knowledge and inspiring young individuals who wish to pursue a medical career. Towards that goal, he provides mentorship to local area high school students, and precepts nurse practitioner and medical students from local area medical schools.

He has served as the President of the Indian Doctors Association, the Indo American Charity Foundation, the Indo American Foundation of Fort Bend, and Fort Bend Cares. Once a week, he also conducts a radio talk show, Open Forum. An avid music lover, he enjoys travelling. He has lived in Sugar Land for more than 2 decades with his wife and three children.
